Exploring the Magic of Mackinac Island - No Cars, Just Charm!

We visit Mackinaw City and visit the Old Mackinac Point Light House and Mackinac Island. We enjoy relaxing on the coast of Lake Huron from our campground. We took toured Old Mackinaw Point Light House and climbed to the top, visited the Mackinaw Shipwreck Museum, and even heard the fog horn.

We took the ferry to Mackinac Island and enjoyed a beautiful day of walking around the island. There we walked around Mackinac State Park, hiked to the Somewhere in Time gazebo, stopped to take a look at The Grand Hotel, ate lunch with a view of the harbor at Mary’s Bistro and tried some world-famous Mackinac fudge at Ryba’s Fudge Shop. We even sent a postcard of our travels to a family member. Finally, we drove over the Mackinaw Bridge into Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Next week we visit Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.
